The Colts Neck PTO holds a fall social every year and on November 18, 2016 they held Casino Night at the Battleground Country Club in Manalapan. This fall adult social consisted of a variety of casino games, provided by Tumbling Dice, such as poker, roulette, blackjack, craps, and a money wheel.
The mission of the fall social was to create an unprecedented, fun, unique opportunity for Colts Neck parents to meet, network and enjoy their time together with old friends, while creating new friendships, explained event co-chair Tara Torchia Buss and Colleen Panico. This year, over 100 people consisting of parents, teachers, and friends attended.
Amy Dimes, the PTO’s Fundraising/ Sponsorship Director, worked closely with everyone involved. Tara shared that aside from herself and Colleen as co-chairs, there was a committee of 28 women who were involved on various levels and with the hard work of everyone made this event a success.
The evening also consisted of full dinner buffet stations and a full dessert bar, an open bar, and plenty of time for socializing. Some of the raffled items included a Battleground Country Club foursome with lunch, carts, and gifts; a Casino Night Party with table rental, casino party goods and a $100 Livotti’s gift card; an Apple iWatch; signed Rangers puck and picture; a $200 Garmany gift card; a Lombardi Plastic Surgery basket; a toy box filled with toys; a full makeup application and photograph shoot with $500 photo credit; an evening out at Empire Casino with car service; and a party for 30 people at Berkley Hotel in Asbury Park with food from Buona Sera, photography, and more.
Tara Torchia Buss offered this comment about the evening. “What an amazing night filled with fun, food, games, and good cheer. We would especially like to thank the Casino Night planning committee for all their hard work to make this night a success! Thank you to all our fabulous table sponsors, basket sponsors, drink sponsors, favor sponsors, and of course Battleground Country Club for welcoming us to their beautiful club. We have all eaten some good food, drank some good drinks, tried our luck at some games, hopefully won some good prizes, but most importantly made some new friendships.”
