The third Annual Autism MVP Walk will take place Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Leggett’s Sand Bar, 217 1st Avenue, Manasquan. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with the walk beginning at 11:00 a.m. The day of family fun includes activities for kids, complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and donuts, a no-pressure 2-mile walk along a beach-side boardwalk and a post-event celebration complete with buffet lunch provided by Leggett’s Sand Bar. Tickets are available on-site or in advance at http://www.autismmvp.org/news-and-events.html, costing $30 for adults, $20 for students, $10 for children 12 and under. The event is made possible by sponsors Circle BMW, Circle Hyundai, AllState Agent Vincent Scanelli and WRAT 95.9, which will also be broadcasting live from the event. With the help of local families and businesses, the Autism MVP Foundation is making an impact on the lives of students on the autism spectrum and the New Jersey educators training to teach them. This year’s fundraising walk is getting a new beach-side location, more complimentary food and fun for the kids, all in support of the Autism Program Improvement Project with Monmouth University and a Scholarship Program launching later this year. The Autism MVP Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Keith Green of Little Silver, who, along with his wife Donna, have been inspired by their young son with autism and the educators and therapists who have helped make a difference in their lives. The foundation is committed to honoring, recognizing and creating the most valuable professionals in the field. Narrowing the autism spectrum, one educator, one program, one day at a time. All proceeds from the walk will support professionals in the field of autism education, including the groundbreaking Autism Program Improvement Project with Monmouth University and the Autism MVP Foundation Scholarship Program launching this year.
