Carolyn Burtnick

Editor in Chief

Carolyn has been Editor in Chief since CM began in 2010. She manages all aspects of CM, and her leadership throughout the years has resulted in a first class lifestyle magazine, reaching more than 60,000 readers throughout Monmouth County, both in print and in digital editions. Carolyn works closely with the CM team in the areas of marketing strategy, events and features reporting, design, client relations, digital presence, social media, and advertising.

Cathy Padilla

Director of Marketing & Features

Cathy brings her past experience in both education and pharmaceutical marketing and publications to the CM team. A published author, she enjoys writing in-depth cover stories and finding ways to make CM’s ultra-local focus exciting and enjoyable. Working with a vast array of clients to meet their advertising needs, Cathy seeks to elevate the success of local businesses and bring cutting-edge marketing tools to every size company.

LiliAnn Paras

LiliAnn Paras

Features Editor & Marketing

LiliAnn has been with CM basically from its inception, after retiring from the practice of law. She enjoys the process of working collaboratively with clients and the CM creative team to capture the right balance between message and design. An added bonus is the relationships she creates with her advertisers. And, LiliAnn definitely prefers writing CM features to legal writing. She is continually amazed at the extraordinary local people she meets and highlights in CM’s feature stories.

Lori Donnelly

Creative Director

Lori manages all creative personnel while she continues to seek ways to reimagine and highlight the CM features, ads, and general design layout. Her expertise in visual strategies has been instrumental in her planning and oversight of the design aspects of CM throughout the years. Lori is also invaluable to those individual clients who require design and marketing assistance to ensure maximum effectiveness for their messages.

Erica Parker

Art Director

Erica began at CM as a graphic design intern in 2012. Her insights regarding visuals, and her offbeat design sensibilities, led to her position as Art Director. Erica has won rave reviews for her technical expertise and design flair. She also offers input on user experience with the CM digital issues and the CM website.

Olivia Mazanec

Senior Designer

Olivia is known for her attention to detail and understands that great design is not only visually intriguing, but also functional and informative. She works with the marketing team to turn the advertisers’ visions into solid ads, presenting their brands in imaginative and effective ways. She transforms CM’s feature articles into eye-catching pages, contributing to the growth of CM’s popularity.

Alyssa Sirico

Alyssa Sirico

Graphic Design Assistant

Alyssa began as an intern before officially joining as a Graphic Design Assistant. She recently graduated from Kean University with a major in Graphic Design: Interactive, Print and Screen. Alyssa has a curiosity for all things design, and this, combined with her positive outlook, drives her to find creative solutions for each project she approaches. Outside of the office, she enjoys baking, football, and painting.

Matt Anderson

Matthew Anderson

Marketing & Digital Advisor

Matt started his professional career in politics, previously serving as Chief of Staff to two Assembly Members in the NJ Legislature. At CM, Matt advises advertisers and is instrumental in maintaining CM’s digital presence, all while attending Seton Hall law school at night. He is an upbeat team player and enjoys reading, playing basketball, and hiking in his “spare” time.

General Manager

Maria is the quintessential “go-to” person on all things administrative. A native New Yorker, Maria spent several decades working with large corporations before taking her talents to CM. She is a one-woman administrative team, handling CM’s bookkeeping, client services, human resources, accounting and payroll.

Executive Assistant

Shirley’s positive attitude is well known at CM. She pleasantly and professionally liaises with clients and staff, coordinates meetings and events, manages records, assists with accounting, and schedules appointments. She pitches in happily wherever and whenever needed. She enjoys the different challenges associated with working with a diverse group of professionals.
