It’s almost here! The Holmdel Harvest Fest is on Saturday, October 7 from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bayonet Farm on Middletown Road in Holmdel. Sponsored by the Holmdel Recreation Department, this will be the fourth year the event has been scheduled. Recreation Director Bob Ward noted that Harvest Fest will be held for only one day this year instead of the two days in previous years.

The fun-filled day includes exciting activities for the children, such as inflatables, wagon rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, bungee jumping, and a rock wall, as well as a Touch-a-Truck area for the children to explore. Adults can enjoy the live music that will be performed by two bands. DNA will play from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.; and West End Dogs will play from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Beer and wine will be available in the Red Barn. Local food vendors will be serving delicious foods and desserts, such as sausage and peppers and Italian Ice, and much more. Craft vendors will offer a wide variety of items for purchase. The evening’s highlighted events are the movie, “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” at 7:00 p.m., and the much-anticipated Fireworks at 8:00 p.m. So keep the date open, dress in your best fall colors, and take the family to Holmdel’s Harvest Fest on October 7. It will a day and evening in which to make memories!
